Our Advisory Council member Julian Jessop has written for Spiked on why Brexit is not the cause of the UK’s low growth. In fact, it's one of the solutions - we must do everything we can to diverge from our stagnant EU neighbours. You can read his post here.

Our Advisory Council member Catherine McBride has summarised her scathing report on the so-called "Reset". In her words "in every single part of the Reset, the UK would be giving up its sovereignty and agreeing to blindly follow EU regulations – but paying for its subservience."

The latest Brexit polling from British Future is, of course, far more balanced than the headlines in the likes of the Independent suggest. In particular, any support for EU membership is weak (only 22% are “all in” on rejoining) and shallow (it falls away when the terms and conditions are exposed).

Or in the words of the report "discussing trade-offs, including paying into the EU budget, the UK losing the ability to negotiate its own trade deals or accepting free movement – dampens support for membership". These concerns also apply to intermediate steps, such as forming a new Customs Union with the EU or realigning with the Single Market.
