Brits Do Not Support EU Reset Negotiation Terms

Yesterday afternoon the Daily Telegraph published exclusively polling conducted by YouGov on behalf of Britain Unbound, which showed resoundingly that the British people do not support sacrificing control over UK laws, in order to gain greater access to the EU Single Market for a limited subset of goods - which is exactly what the current government policy entails. For those not in the know, the term "dynamic alignment" is intentionally used by the UK Government to obfuscate from the reality - putting the EU in control of portions of UK law, with the UK government having no real say at all on what they may get changed to in the future.

With the British public not supporting the policy, and reports having for months raised concerns that the policy could cost UK farmers in excess of £800 Million a year, why exactly is the UK government continuing with something that is both costly and unpopular?

Observer Polls Show Brits Don't Want to Rejoin EU

As covered by our news item late last night, polling released yesterday by Opinium, conducted on behalf of The Observer newspaper, found that a majority of UK voters wanted to stay out of the EU. More surprising than that though, is that Britain Unbound researchers went into the Opinium archive and found that a previous poll from 20th May gave a similar response, and The Observer for some reason didn't use this very newsworthy data despite having paid to have the question asked.

Government Looks To Capitulate Again to EU Demands

In what has become a somewhat depressing sequence of events, reports are now hitting the British press that the UK Government is to yet again capitulate on EU demands that had previously been a red line. If this is indeed the case, and the UK Government is to allow EU students to pay domestic rates at UK universities in place of the international fees they currently pay, then this is not only another u-turn for a Government now infamous for its never-ending collection of flip flops, but also a very worrying signal being sent to the world that the UK Government will give you whatever you ask for. Let us hope and pray that there is something left of the UK by the time this Government leaves office.
