The world is full of surprises, and one surprise that we at Britain Unbound HQ were not expecting today was an admittance from the Liberal Democrats that rejoining the EU was “not an option”. According to Lib Dem spokesperson and MP Lisa Smart, the Lib Dems have been in consultation with senior MEPs and EU Council officials in recent weeks, and the outcome of those conversations is that rejoining is not going to happen.
We at Britain Unbound appreciate this U-turn and acceptance of reality, on the road to rehabilitating the Liberal Democrat party into being both Liberal and Democratic again.
