0900 - EU Agrees 21st Package of Russian Sanctions

The EU has announced that after considerable difficulty and some delay, they have been able to reach agreement on the latest package of sanctions to apply to the Russian state and its economy, due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. However this agreement has required some compromise from previous agreed terms, namely that Greek shipping companies already in contract with the Russian state to provide transport of Russian LNG to non-EU countries, will continue to be allowed past January 2027.
